Dr. Sola Loy, ND

After 9 years of studying science and being trained to be a primary care physician in Seattle, she is ready to share her knowledge and passion in women’s health, nutraceuticals, preventative medicine, botanical medicine, homeopathy, pediatrics, and nutrition.

As a recipient of The Princeton Review's Top MCAT Teacher Award throughout the US and Canada, Dr. Sola enjoys exploring, educating, and empowering her patients by thinking like a doctor-detective to address the root cause.  Rather than looking at someone as a case or a condition, her curiosity and love for people allow her to embrace every opportunity to understand her patients by listening to their stories, helping her patients feel heard and seen.

Her commitment is to provide quality, medical-grade supplements with effective dosages after reviewing the bloodwork in great detail, explaining what the values mean and aiming to achieve optimal numbers rather than staying WNL (within normal limits).  She is an herbalist at heart and enjoys the process of making bespoke botanical formulas to address the combination of conditions that her patients present.

While her clinic does not accept insurance, she enjoys the freedom of spending quality time with her patients, answering all their questions, helping them safely taper off unwanted medications, and ordering labs as necessary.  Dr. Sola cherishes those moments of joy when she gets to celebrate with her patients when they feel great or see lab values trend in the right direction.

Let’s learn ways to honor your body.

Botanical Medicine

It all began in her garden. As a young girl, Dr. Sola wondered why dandelions were considered to be “weeds.”

Fast forward 10 years and after studying naturopathic medicine at the prestigious medical school at Bastyr University, she learned all the Latin names of Western herbs and how to treat various conditions using them with the support of clinical studies.

She learned how to prescribe botanical medicine with safe, effective dosages and has come full circle as she now has a deep appreciation for dandelions as their leaves help restore kidney function and their roots detoxify the liver and gallbladder.

“A doctor should be a mixture between a scientist and a poet. A good one knows how to make medicine for the soul.”

Clinical Nutrition

“Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food.” ~Hippocrates, the father of medicine

Dr. Sola designed this plate after shopping at Pike Place Market in Seattle. Food is what brings people together. Cooking and savoring the taste is all part of the experience. She will sit down with you and come up with a personalized plan based on your medical condition(s) and personal preferences.

“I want you to remember that you are NOT your diagnosis. You are a whole person with feelings, goals, dreams, and people who love you.”
